The atmosphere carried a subdued yet subtle electricity within the halls of the New Bethrezen Palace grounds. Though the purpose behind the meeting was not yet known...save to but a few, one above all knew the significance of the action they were about to undertake. The current Dark Lord had long planned this, this operation was his brain child. Yet various events had delayed it throughout the years, only now had a combination of opportunity and desperation forced his hand. The Galactic Alliance were building up to something, Union Intelligence supported those claims when word of a vast fleet building up came through and a new unit codenamed 'Null' had been rumored to exist.
It all lead to one thing...Daala was up to something big. The Union would need to be prepared for when the hammer hit, and for that they needed ships. More ships than currently were available despite the large size of the Union fleet.
The Dark Lord rose from his seat, issuing a bow to each sith and other members appropriately before beginning what would likely be a lengthy commentary.
''Greetings brothers and sister, thank you for reaching me on such short notice. Forgive me for interrupting Arch Magister but this simply could not wait.''
Lighting up a holographic map of the Tepani Sector, he began.
''If you haven't heard by now, a vast Galactic Alliance fleet has been sighted by Union Intelligence and now rumors of a new unit calling themselves 'Nulls' have surfaced, which suggests...they are planning something big. Big enough that we may not survive it, unless we prepare now. The Galactic Alliance has forced our hand ladies and gentlemen, much sooner than desired but forced it none the less. This brings me to my next point.
For those of you who don't know this here on the map, is the Tepani Sector. It is home to many planets, but one high-value target in particular is the focus of today's briefing that has long been in Xaos sights. Fondor.''
Bringing up another holo, this time a close up of Fondor and Procopia, Lucifer continued. He briefly looked to Reaver, the only other person in the room who was likely aware of the operation beforehand.
''Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Operation Oriflamme. A campaign I first devised and discussed with my successor in aid of this while he was alive that never quite got off the ground. Until now this campaign has been on the back burner in light of Arch Magister. But a opportunity has arisen which we simply cannot ignore which co-incides with our need of ships. As of now we are preparing for the eventual capture of the Fondor and it's Shipyards.
Phase 1 of Operation Oriflamme, encompasses two parts and requires two teams. The first teams job is to make a crap load of noise near Fondor to draw as much attention as possible, stage a diversion if you will...and draw away the forces guarding to enable the second team to infiltrate the shipyards. So any skilled pilots or fleet commanders will be assigned to this team.
Team Two's job will then be to slip inside and steal any plans, sabotage the shipyards where possible to delay the GA and to finally kidnap or assassinate as appropriate key star-port personnel currently stationed there as to be either be coerced or replaced as needed with those more in line with our way of thinking. The main idea here however is to learn as much about the shipyards as possible, so see any intelligence or something worth picking up, do it. Only destroy something if it has no use or could be used against us in future. Regardless of which team your apart of, make no mistake this will be no easy ride for any of you. Fondor is heavily defended even inside the shipyards, so expect a long drawn out fight. That said any questions?''
He looked around the room.
