Name: Sek Tarwin
Age: 33
Species: Human (Cyborg)
Homeworld: Antar IV
Gender: Male
Height: 1.88m
Weight: 92kg
Eyes: Green
Hair: Black
Skin Color: Caucasian/gunmental grey
Appearance: More than 50% of Sek's body has been replaced by highly visible high-tech cybernetics, most notably his arms. His remaining human features are distinctly weathered, making him look much older than his 33 years, with numerous visible scars from the Yuuzhan Vong War. He is quite tall, and fairly imposing, but his numerous scars and cybernetics make him an ugly person to look at, despite features that could have once been called handsome. He keeps his hair short, and his beard trimmed to stubble.
Personality: Deeply cynical, Sek is extremely reserved in social situations - naturally, given that he tends to be an object of extreme derision during them. He's developed an aggressive personality, and prefers to tackle matters alone rather than work with others. During his time in the Antarian Rangers, he was capable of working fine as part of a group, but since leaving them tends to ignore the wishes of the group to tackle his objectives his own way. Sek is gruff, and to the point, but is a relatively skilled thinker and tactical planner - but only where he's involved.

Backstory:
Like many others on Antar IV, Sek grew up hearing the legends of the Antarian Rangers. Though diminished in number after the Great Jedi Purge and operating close to home to avoid Imperial reprisal, the Rangers were still great heroic figures on their home world. By the time Sek came of age, the Rangers were rebuilding themselves alongside Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order, and Sek enlisted. He passed their brutal training regime, and became a Ranger in his own right. Along with the other Rangers, he was on the front lines of the Yuuzhan Vong War, fighting alongside the Jedi and protecting the Great River refugee network. After the fall of Antar IV, Sek was part of the Ranger guerilla forces that eventually succeeded in liberating the planet.
Like so many others, Sek was gravely wounded by Yuuzhan Vong Warrior during the war. Unlike many others, what bacta was on hand wasn't enough to save him. He was implanted with cybernetics to keep him alive - and the Rangers soon found how much more effective they made him. Further injuries yielded further cybernetics, until, as the war ground on, he was voluntarily replacing parts of his body with cybernetics. These made Sek a deadly warrior, and an object of hated heresy for the Yuuzhan Vong. At war's end, with little organic matter left and cloning the only option to recover it, he retained his enhancements, and, along with the other Rangers, tackled pirates, peace bridage remnants, and other threats.
Though initially firmly on the side of the Galactic Alliance, the rise of Natasi Daala, the Imperialisation of the Alliance, and the inaction of the Jedi made Sek feel betrayed. Many of his close friends had died fighting to protect the New Republic and later Galactic Alliance, or supporting the Jedi. He came to despise the modern Alliance and Order, and decided it wasn't worth his loyalty, or that of any Ranger, if they weren't willing to protect the principles of freedom. Though no others shared his views, Sek left the Antarian Rangers and made for the Obsidian Union alone.

Assets:
Unusual Ability 2: Durasteel Frame
More machine now than man, the extent of Sek's many wounds and cybernetic enhancements have necessitated near-total enhancement of his skeleton. Whilst it has not been entirely replaced, much of his skeleton has had metal grafted to it to prevent his augmentations pulling his body apart. This skeleton has also increased his DR by 1.
Unusual Ability 2: Cybernetic Arms and Legs
Sek's arms have been entirely replaced with high-tech cybernetic prostheses. Designed for the brutal environment of the Yuuzhan Vong War, these arms are extremely durable, and each contain a small compartment in the forearm that may hold a small knife or a hold-out blaster. These arms, coupled with his augmented skeleton, have given him incredible strength on-par with a Wookiee, allowing him to handle heavy weapons with ease and punch through duracrete walls. Extensive training with them has granted him precise dexterity, and he is naturally capable of holding them steady, still, or upraised for lengthy periods of time without fatigue. His legs, meanwhile, have not been fully replaced, but the grafting of metals and servomotors within them have greatly increased his mobility (through speed, jump capacity, and safe landings from greater heights).
Unusual Ability 1: Cybernetic Eyes
Whilst they have not been replaced, Sek's eyes have been implanted with a high-tech retinal enhancer, visible as a faintly green-glowing electronic ring within his iris. The enhancer grants Sek with a heads-up display that is a more advanced version of that found in the Katarn commando armor series, including night vision and simple waypoint tracking. These eyes are, however, incredibly disconcerting to look at closely. Further, as they directly interact with his optic nerve if these implants fail Sek loses the ability to see.
Unusual Ability 3: Optical Cloak
The most powerful and advanced of his enhancements, Sek has been implanted with a subdermal optical cloak that allows him to render himself invisible to the naked eye and light-based detection systems such as lasers. It does nothing to muffle sound, however, and heat-based detection sources will still detect him. Though fitted with a recharging battery, the cloak may only be sustained for a maximum of 5 minutes at a time, and takes twice at much time to recharge fully.
