As the marauder advanced under the torch, the way behind shut closed and sealed. With each step, the air grew hotter...and his feet soon burned. He found himself stepping upon what appeared to be hot coals that encased the entire ground around him, as h advanced further in the hotter they became and the more he felt as though his feet were blistering. Soon he moved through several chambers until reaching the center of what appeared to be a domed fortress. Here, the room was open, extending all the way to an obsidian dome that obscured the sky. In the center of this room, was a dais within which was etched the same flame and torch as had been above the cave entrance, below oozed something hot and black.
Here he found a ominous being, a wraith like creature standing beside the dais. The creature seemed familiar almost. As he entered the creature turned and regarded the marauder, it was then Rayden saw who it was. It was himself...or rather a form of him. What might be if he continued his current path and attitudes. Carefully this facsimile placed the Darkstaff in his hand into a slot made for the weapon. A passage appeared descending into perfect darkness. Intense heat emanated from within.
He made his way into the blackness and motioned Rayden to follow. It was all encompassing, heavy in the air. The Wraith felt its embrace combined with the warmth of the room, and he was comforted. What the real Rayden could not know is that they were surrounded by black lava. Rivers of it flowed beneath the fortress, though here it was just a trickle. The amount of lava grew the farther they advanced, increasing the heat.
"We must stop here," the being said. The heat was intense. Yet the being did not feel it. To the marauder however, it would be excruciatingly painful. "This is where you learn, in the blaze of your mistakes and the fire of your own making. Are you ready?" The wiser...older Rayden asked in the form of a question, not to hear the answer, but to hear any sort of response from the real Rayden. To make certain he was still lucid.

As Ares men recovered themselves, the miraluka's use and calling on the Force to heal her, stimulated a response. She murmured at first before rousing her head and looking to meet the eyes of the one who saved her. Dumbfounded just why he had done so, it was not what the Oscuritas had taught. Nor encouraged.
''Ur...w..wy...why...save me? I am the enemy.''
