Appearance:
Ka'Moen, later Darth Caer'narg, boasts two black dots upon her forehead, as do many females of her race, and a wild mane of black hair, streaked with bits of white and brown. Her skin is a rusty orange color. She towers above many and underneath her robes it is clear that she is athletic just shy of herculean. She sports a blue lightsaber, a relic of when she was a jedi. She has sharp teeth and intense, analytical brown eyes. She wears beaten and blasted black heavy armor marked from her battles against the Vong. On her right ear hangs a single earring made of Kyber, from the broken lightsaber of her fallen master, Merro Alsten.
Personality:
Whenever presented with a problem, Ka'Moen takes the most efficient path to resolution. Oftentimes this translates to violence. Ka'Moen sees little merit any longer in negotiation. After the death of her master, and her time as a resistance organizer in the Yuuzang Vong war she came to believe that any who would go to war have already committed to a path of violence, and that negotiation exists only as a facade to disguise surrender. To Ka'Moen negotiation is a tool for those who lack resolve and doubt their own ability.
A constant veneer of displeasure marks her face for good reason, considering what the Jedi did to her. She considers the Jedi weak willed and cowardly. When she did what was necessary, and played an integral part in the war, the Jedi cast her out as a warmonger and violence obsessed war criminal. The Jedi ran from their responsibility then excommunicated her (done so by one of her closest friends no less) leaving her and her companion to flee republic space, or be tried at the hands of the senate for desertion.
The only person she remains close to (at times romantically) is her partner, and fellow excommunicae, Zeer Kath. He may be the only person that Ka'Moen addresses with anything other than steely critique. The only other time she lets her emotions take hold are on the battlefield after an ambush as the rage and pain she feels pours out in her displays of ruthless strength.

Backstory:
Ka'Moen doesn't remember her parents. Perhaps her mother died when she was young, or perhaps she was taken without resistance. Her father most certainly left for the stars before her birth. He never gave her a moment to remember. She was five when brought into the fold of the Jedi in ABY 16. For all intents and purposes, the jedi were Ka'Moen's family.
She trained under Jedi Knight Merro Alsten, a survivor of Order 66, alongside several other padawans, becoming molded into the foundation of the new Jedi Order. Luke Skywalker was yet to establish the temple on the moon of Yavin IV, so her life was nomadic as the few remaining Jedi explored the stars in search of other force sensitive candidates to bring into the order. Merro took two other pupils as well Ka'Moen under his wing. Zeer Kath, a rambunctious and raucous Catharian with the heart of a lion, and Seyn Fon Ishtak a shy human girl with a peaceful spirit and kind heart. The three were like siblings. They would play as much as they would fight, and they would train as much as they would rest. It was rare for one to not be in the presence of the others.
While Zeer's might inclined him to the martial aspect of the Jedi way, and Seyn's emotional attunement allowed her to delve into the mysticism of the Force, Alsten found power in Ka'Moen's Single minded determination. While she was no slouch with a lightsaber, and well adept in the force for a padawan of her age, she always used them as a tool to access an outcome, rather than entertainment or exercises that bore intrinsic merit. Everything she did was for a purpose, to achieve a goal, be it through words or be it through force. By the time the temple was established, Ka'Moen had progressed far along the path that Alsten had set out for her; to continue in his tradition as a negotiation specialist and Jedi Sentinel.
The next five years of her life she trained as a negotiator and student of galactic politics. Alsten taught her as much as he could, from debate and history, to philosophy and arithmetic, all that you would need to become a successful practitioner of words and nonviolent negotiation. And in ABY 25 all of it fell apart. The Yuuzang Vong war was the antithesis to everything that Ka'Moen had been taught. All of Alsten's logic and rhetoric couldn't do anything against the vehemently hostile philosophies and desires of the Vong. Worlds fell one after another as the Vong encroached upon the galaxy, proving the Jedi, once again, as agents of war rather than of peace. Only Merro Alsten stood true to his non-violent philosophies. He hid when Order 66 came through, abandoning his values as the empire took over. In his attempt to redeem himself in negotiations on Zeltron, he was killed; torn to pieces by the Vong.
While half of her Alsten's head lay at her feet, Ka'Moen realized something. In Alsten's narrow training, she had nearly abandoned all other tools at her disposal as a Jedi. Words would not achieve the outcome she wanted. Words would not destroy the Vong. Words would not avenge her foolish, fallen master. Words would not save her, or the people she had come to love, though it was forbidden. Violence would. Violence was the only effective tool to stop the Vong.
She went to her two siblings, the people she cared more than anything in the world for, and asked for help in her own personal guerrilla war against the Yuuzang Vong. Zeer was the only one to join her. He figured that if Ka' had come to a conclusion then it must obviously be the best path, and he didn't see the Vong stopping on anything other than the end of a lightsaber. Seyn, however, refused to leave with her, foreseeing a path of vengeance, violence and heartache down the path Ka'Moen followed.
Ka'Moen and Zeer spent the next three years, the bulk of their teenage years, in their own guerrilla war against the Vong, while Seyn remained with the Jedi. The two used all tools at their disposal, martial expertise, diplomacy, and their status as rouge Jedi in order to establish planetary resistance forces from system to system, striking at the Vong's weakest points. Ka'Moen forgot much that she had learned from Alsten in these years. Philosophies of nonviolence, and charismatic elocution were abandoned. They were useless tools against an uncompromising enemy. Instead she developed skills regarding survival in the remote wilds of any given system, along with first aid and near expertise regarding explosive devices. All that remained of her master's training was her understanding of volatile political theory, and how to manipulate groups with it. After the First Order made their move with starkiller base, the resistance networks that Ka'Moen and Zeer established were instrumental in destroying the straggling remnants of the Vong forces.
It was then that the two were called to the temple to face review by the council. They had taken on their own task, true to the Sentinel way, and resolved the conflict the only way they deemed possible. When they arrived at the tribunal, none other than Seyn Fon Ishtak sat among the council. Though young she had proven herself competent. Her ability to see through the force into the future had saved the Jedi from Order from utter destruction many times during the Yuuzang Vong War. Reports of their excessive, risky tactics, and their manipulation of the native peoples of many worlds, as well as abandonment of their duties to the Jedi and the temple, resulted in their excommunication from the Jedi Order.
Cast out by the Jedi, and her own sister, Ka'Moen and Zeer moved to obsidian controlled space, seeing as the First Order wouldn't take kindly to potential spies from the New Republic, and that they were wanted for war crimes in New Republic space. She swore vengeance upon Seyn Fon Ishtar and planned to return and destroy the family who cast her aside for doing the right thing. They returned to an old planet they had established a resistance force upon, Caernah, and began to make a new life for themselves there in hermitage, training their skills, and waiting for the next time the galaxy would need warriors willing to do what must be done.

Yuuzang Vong Resistance Forces (VRF): Ka'Moen is a founding member of several planetary resistance forces during the Yuuzang Vong war. While no longer directly operating with them, she checks in from time to time. They are self organizing cells, affiliated with each other in name and founder only now that the war is over. They now function as mercenaries, bandits, and even governments depending on their status and political positioning during the war. However, each recognizes the service that Ka'Moen did in initially organizing and training them. While she does not direct operations, how each cell responds to a call for aid will vary greatly from planet to planet.
