Saraas was born on the Trandoshan homeworld of Trandosha (or simply Dosha as it is known to the natives). He was the oldest of two brothers and with no other family aside from his mother and father. As such, he and his younger brother became very close to each other, and Saraas would often be followed everywhere by the younger sibling. Their dwelling was located away from any large cities or significant populations, so Saraas grew up valuing his space and preferring natural settings to the supposed civilization of the capital cities. One afternoon a freighter carrying escaped Wookiee slaves from the neighboring world of Kashyyyk crashed in the wilderness not far from their home and, like any self-respecting teens, the brothers headed out to investigate. They ended up being ambushed by the Wookiees, leaving his brother dead and Saraas with a large scar down one side of his head. In his anger he tapped into the Force for the first time, killing each and every Wookiee aboard the ship. Thereafter he was left with a deep-seated hatred for the beasts, and as a result of the altercation Saraas was shunned by his family. Saraas then fled Dosha in a stolen Conqueror-class assault ship he named the Silent Rancor, trying to get as far away from the planet as possible. It wasn't long before he learned that they were Sith, and they likewise noted how Force-sensitive Saraas was. Whatever happened after that meeting was a complete mystery to even Saraas himself. He remembered nothing after being taken in by the group of Sith, only remembering what they had called themselves: the Obsidian Union. The next thing he knew he found himself back on Trandosha, his ship gone, as well as any trace of the mysterious group. The only thing which remained was his lightsaber, which he kept, vowing to track down the group and regain his lost memories. His lone existence on his homeworld was shattered when a Mandalorian Keldabe-class battleship crashed near Saraas' new home, releasing a rancor which was being flown to Mandalore for combat trials. The beast rampaged around the forest until Saraas confronted it, finding one lone Mandalorian at the rancor's mercy. In a fit of rage at the disturbance, Saraas strangled the beast and left it for dead, offering the Mandalorian shelter at his camp. He eventually learned that the warrior's name was Arin Ker'dabe, a female Mandalorian who had been on her way to Mandalore for her combat trial. She pledged her services and loyalty to Saraas, giving the former Sith a much-needed companion in his isolation. Eventually the pair left Trandosha, setting out among the stars and settling into a somewhat predictable occupation as bounty hunters. With his Force sensitivity and Arin's Mandalorian training, the pair was more than a match for any job they took on, amassing quite a bit of money in the process and becoming familiar the the galaxy's criminal element, slowly gaining influence and contacts within the various crime syndicates. They eventually picked up a Crescent-class transport, naming it the Headhunter, and it was around this time that Saraas realized how valuable underworld contacts were. An idea began to form in his head, one that saw Saraas bringing all the disparate spies, thieves, smugglers, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and the like into a new massive organization, with himself at the head of it. Arin's Mandalorian background came in particularly handy during this time, for she was able to help him track down rogue Mandalorian clans, bounty hunters and mercenaries. He once again had purpose, once again had a goal to aspire to. He vowed that he would become the head of a galaxy wide net of rogues, backing that up with Mandalorian soldiers and enforcers discovered by Arin, along with any starships or additional assets they found along the way. Eventually they would become large enough for the Obsidian Union to seek them out...eventually he would rejoin the group, bringing his own forces into the fold, and he would reclaim his lost memories.

As perhaps the largest and most widespread criminal organization in the galaxy, the Hutts are well positioned to provide Saraas with whatever he needs, whether it's people, information, or weapons. Varis the Hutt is his primary contact within the Cartel.
Holowan Labs & Rashe:
In addition to the Mandalorians being gathered by Arin, Saraas also has contacts within Holowan Labs, giving him access to various droids, most notably IG-series droids made infamous by the MagnaGuard and IG-88. Rashe is his main ally, a Verpine who holds the position as head droid technician/designer/modifier at the company.
