Darth Corrin's office was a curiosity. Most everything within it had a function, and few were there purely for decoration. Potted plants were trimmed to within an inch of their stems, the bronzium frieze behind his highback chair was polished to a mirror-shine, centered perfectly against the wall. Even his clothes seemed too perfect, too well-ironed, given their neo-classic, fitted look. The room harked back to earlier years, and the Cerean noticed a bust of a handsome-looking man at the end of his desk, the plaque at the bottom reading "Illudex" in Aurebesh.
"Darth Aristo has recommended you for this task, Lady Maleine. It seems there's a religious dispute on the planet Athiss, and I would like you to investigate it, and resolve it," began the masked Sith Lord, getting straight to the point, "I won't mince words. You'll be meeting with representatives of two rival sects at an orbital station, High Prophet Djahet of the Prophets of Vodal Kressh, and Pontiff-Magus Bathas from the Coven of the Silent Songs." An image of a wrinkled, heavily-robed man projected from the table, everything one would expect of a deeply-religious man. His face however, was riddled with metal studs and rings, all in specific patterns. The High Prophet. His rival, the Pontiff-Magus was skinny to the point of looking gaunt, and clad in simple cloth wraps covering his crimson skin.
Corrin leaned forward, resting both elbows on the desk.
"Both groups are claiming the other has kidnapped initiate members of their respectful rivals. The Prophets are calling foul, and the Coven thinks the former have been ritualistically sacrificing their kidnapped acolytes. Normally we'd defer to planetary government for dealing with this, but Darth Aristo and I thought an uncomplicated solo endeavor would be good for you, before we march you off to war," he explained, pausing for a moment's silence, "any questions my Lady?"
