Phanius let the fiery pillar relinquish and die out...it's purpose was done. As Ares cradled Rayden's now...dead body....he laughed. Not just a simple laugh but a hearty and cackling laugh that was filled with the sadistic, twisted thoughts of a man obsessed.
At last he spoke, even as he flourished his saber behind Ares.
''Sorry will not bring him back...he is dead and now useless. He was a fool to think he could challenge me just as you are a fool to carry on fighting. You both forced my hand and this is the price you pay. Now you are alone you shall suffer like he has, and die just as nothing''
With the Force, Ruin cast Rayden's body aside, sending it hurtling across the hall to slam into a slab. Yet as his body hurtled, his spirit could see it all and do nothing but watch. Only then did he feel a strangeness, and a dragging...as his spirit was sent spiralling into the dark pits of Chaos and beyond the six six impenetrable gates that held the spirits within. Spirits that now included his own.
Back above, Ares was left to cradle nothing but air. Ruin advanced, more determined than before as he again rose the miralukan Sith Lord by the throat and tossed him across the hall to lay beside Rayden's now dead body.
''You now see the power I command, you see why your vaunted Brotherhood will fall. Compassion...mercy...brotherhood this is your downfall. A true Sith seeks not brotherhood nor to shelter the weak. A Sith is made of only the strong by culling the weak. A true Sith uses any means to enforce his own power and does not share it. Only the strong are worthy of the Darkside and you have been found wanting. Not you, your Dark Lord or any of your friends are worthy of the Dark. However I do sense some fight left in you...the question is will you stay on your knee's or go out like a man?''
Ruin taunted before summarily advancing towards the Sith Lord. His saber sliced a jagged burn mark upon the floor as the former Dark Lord ran using the Force to clash with Ares again should he act.
